Confessional

Today's post is going to be about things I like that I am either embarrassed to admit that I like or pretend I don't like. I think we all have a few things that we like that are silly or weird or whatever. There's nothing wrong with that! So in a step towards self acceptance... I will post these things here for you all to read, and an explanation to go along with it.
1; Chris Brown's music- I like Chris Brown songs. They're catchy. They make me want to dance. What I don't like is the fact that he hit a woman. I don't think it's acceptable to ever hit a woman (Unless the circumstances are seriously extenuating) so I have a hard time with the fact that I like his songs. After the whole him and Rihanna thing came out I really wanted to stop listening to his songs... But they're too catchy. Even if he is a jerk.
2; Justin Bieber songs- Ugh, this one I really can't stand. I don't like all of them obviously, but "Boyfriend"? That song is my jam! He's an annoying child who wears his pants to low and I generally dislike his generation of kids... But man! I can't help but jam out to some of his songs. Sigh.
3; Teen Wolf- Teen Wolf is a really amazing show on MTV. Yes, it's based more towards High School kids. Yes, it's cheesy. Yes, it's on MTV. Yes... It's called Teen Wolf. BUT I LOVE THE SHOW OKAY?! Every Monday night I tune in and watch it rapturously. And I have no shame about this one. The plot is really smart and complex, it uses a lot of mythology... and the actors are just really funny and attractive okay?!!!!!
4; Bratz dolls; This one is funny. So I have always loved dolls, but instead of playing Barbie I liked Bratz dolls because they had cooler clothes, cuter faces, more shoe options... and awesome hair. And I played with Bratz dolls until I was 16. Yep, I just said 16. One of my best friends, Brittney, came over for the first time while we were in High school. I remember her walking into my room and we were just talking and stuff, and then I showed her my Bratz doll collection. She definitely thought it was weird and funny but thank goodness I didn't scare my only friend away haha. I have since stopped playing with Bratz dolls, but sometimes when I'm in Target or something I'll walk down the aisle and look at them, and look at the Monster High dolls and wish I was still young enough to play with them. That and pray I have at least one girl when my Husband and I start having kids. Lol.
5; Anime- Now I am not necessarily ashamed of this one persay. I have always been drawn to Japanese culture and I really discovered anime for the first time when I was around 13. There was a Miyazaki marathon on Cartoon Network and my brother and sister and I watched pretty much all of his movies. And then we started watching things like Naruto, One Piece, IGPX, etc. The list goes on. I still binge watch anime to this day. Netflix has a really good selection. My husband always makes fun of me because I'm a snob about watching anime in the original Japanese but just turning the subtitles on. English Dub sucks.

There are many more, I promise, but these were just the funny ones that came to mind! Have any embarrassing things you like? Comment about 'em!
